Its dense foliage brings a beautiful plant texture to the vegetable garden, and its unusual flowers are an invitation to sensory curiosity.

Brazilian cress is traditionally eaten fresh, and can be kept for a few days in the refrigerator.

- Popular in Southeast Asia and Brazilian cuisine, they enhance salads, stir-fries or infusions.
- Their peppery and slightly lemony flavor is accompanied by an effervescent, almost anesthetic effect, hence its English nickname of Toothache plant.
- In herbalism, it is recognized for its analgesic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and nerve tonic properties, attributed to its richness in spilanthol, flavonoids and terpenes.
