• The 8.5 cm blade made of modified 12C27 stainless steel from Sandvik for Opinel has a remarkable cutting edge and is easy to maintain.
• The hard and resistant beechwood handle is varnished to better protect it from moisture and dirt.
• Equipped with a Virobloc safety ferrule invented in 1955 by Opinel. Made of stainless steel, it allows the blade to be locked in the open position (during use) or closed (during transport).
• The Savoyard's trick involves striking the underside of the handle at its end against a hard surface to release the blade and unfold it easily.
