This handy, fast-reading instrument features a probe for measuring humidity, another for measuring pH, and a light sensor for measuring light intensity.
- Durable and easy to use, both indoors and outdoors.
- For moisture measurement, insert three-quarters of the probe length into the soil.
- Moisture measurement is recorded on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being dry soil and 10 being wet soil.
- Three color zones help you interpret the result, depending on whether the plant prefers rather dry or rather moist soils.
- To measure light, place the light sensor near the plant, pointing it towards the light source.
- A reading between 0 and 500 indicates low brightness while a reading between 700 and 2000 indicates the presence of high brightness.
- To measure pH, take a soil sample and make a slurry by adding distilled water.
- Insert 10-13 cm of the probes into the mixture and hold them there for one minute before noting the measurement.
- Do not use in the rain or in wet conditions, as only the probes are water resistant.
Controlling the pH level (acidity/alkalinity) helps determine how plants utilize the nutrients available in the soil.
Since each species has its own pH preferences, testing the soil helps to find the ideal location for plants with similar needs.
- Contains ten complete soil pH tests
- Includes a patented color code for easy comparison
- Simple, fast and accurate results
- No experience is required to perform tests

Test your soil for a healthy garden with this soil test kit. The kit can be used up to 40 times and all the contents come in a handy green carrying case. Easy to use.
Tests pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium levels. Compare test results to colorimetric and turbidity reading charts. Includes a pH preference list for hundreds of plants, including vegetables, herbs, flowers, trees, shrubs, fruits, and houseplants. A step-by-step instruction booklet is also included.
pH, short for "potential of hydrogen," is a fundamental concept when creating a garden. Potential of hydrogen expresses the degree of acidity or alkalinity of a soil on a scale of 1 to 14.
It's always a good idea to test your garden soil to adjust the pH before planting anything. A neutral, well-balanced soil will have a pH of 7, while a pH below 7 indicates acidic soil. Conversely, a pH above 7 indicates alkaline soil, containing lime.
Most soils have a pH between 4 and 9, the ideal being slightly acidic soil (6.5) which is suitable for most plants.
With this digital soil thermometer, you can quickly determine if the ideal soil temperature for sowing or transplanting has been reached. By sowing and transplanting at the right time, plant growth is significantly improved, and so are the harvests!
- Easy-to-read digital temperature display (in °F only)
- Designed specifically to take soil temperature
- For a quick reading, insert the robust stainless steel probe into the ground to a depth of 5 to 7.5 cm (2 to 3 in)
- Guidelines on recommended sowing and transplanting temperatures for the most popular vegetable species.
- Automatically switches off after 3 minutes to prolong battery life.
- Batteries included
- Consult the manufacturer's instructions and information.
This thermometer allows for a quick and accurate measurement of the compost temperature.
- Precise and easy-to-read dial
- Stainless steel dial and probe with a total length of 19 in (47.5 cm).
- Simple reading from 0 to 220 °F (-17.8 to 104.4 °C).
