Grodan rockwool is made from molten rock spun into cotton candy-like fibers, then compressed into cubes, blocks or slabs.

Grodan manufactures different types of fibers. The aim is to support the plant's needs at different stages of its growth.

Grodan has an enormous capacity to absorb nutrient solution while retaining plenty of oxygen for rapid plant growth.

Grodan is available in graduated sizes. Seedlings started in cubes can be easily transferred to blocks, and then to slabs, if desired. Seedlings or cuttings started in Grodan cubes can also be transplanted into more traditional planting trays and growing media.
