Dune pepper

Male catkin of the curly alder, with an appearance of long pepper, its taste is tangy and balsamic.

Preparation :

In cooking: Grind in a mortar. Use as a condiment once cooking is complete for soups, meat dishes, game, fish, legumes, etc.

A catkin is an inflorescence composed of flowers and shaped like a spike. Dune pepper is composed of the flowers of the crisp alder.
