About the illustrator

Daphné Brissette paints and draws black and white images with as much detail as possible. She draws inspiration from nature, its scents, its seasons, its shapes and their repetitions, its textures, and above all its sounds and silence. She tries to capture moments of raw and calm beauty, memories of a place or a lived experience.

Inspired by the profound and benevolent nature of the Gardens of the Ecumene, Quebec illustrator Daphné Brissette captured a snapshot of the sensations she experienced during a visit last summer.
