- Climate :Prefers warm, sunny climates, tolerates summer heat well.
- Difficulty:Easy to grow, ideal for vegetable gardens or ornamental gardens.
- Care :Regular watering without excess, well-drained soil.
- Note: Does not tolerate frost; sow after the last frosts.
- Traditionally used by the Hopi to dye textiles and fibers with its deep red pigment.
