L’auteur s’est assuré de faire correspondre ses textes aux photos présentées, facilitant ainsi la tâche d’identification, essentielle à la consommation sécuritaire des champignons. L’approche utilisée est nouvelle et peut être qualifiée d’écologique : le cueilleur est invité à associer le champignon à un environnement forestier et à un sol particuliers. Les informations contenues dans ce livre ont précisément été choisies pour lui permettre d’atteindre cet objectif.
